Everything is included and set up for you: the emulator, all four
game versions, the controls, and the multiplayer wiring. You don't need to be a
computer person. Just follow the four steps below. About 5 minutes the first time,
then one click after that.

Unzip the folder
Right-click the downloaded DerbyOwnersClub-Flycast.zip → Extract All →
Extract. Open the new folder. (Tip: put it on your Desktop. Don't rename the files inside.)

Turn off “Smart App Control” (one time)
Windows blocks the emulator from opening until you do this once:
- Click the Windows Start button
- Type:
smart app control
- Click Smart App Control settings
- Set the switch to Off, then click Yes if asked
Is it safe? Yes. This is the free, open-source
Flycast emulator. Windows only blocks it because it isn't “signed” by a big company.
Heads up: turning it back On later needs a Windows reset, so it's best left Off.
If Step 3 opens the game fine, your PC didn't need this, so skip it.

Pick a game & double-click it
Inside the folder, double-click one of these:
- Play - World Edition EX (English).bat (recommended, start here)
- Play - World Edition (English).bat
- Play - DOC 2000 (Japanese).bat
- Play - DOC Original (Japanese).bat
If you see a blue “Windows protected your PC” box, click
More info, then Run anyway. That's normal.

Click the game picture in each window
Five windows open and arrange themselves. Click the game picture once in every window:
the big MAIN one (top-left) first, then the other four. After a few seconds they
connect and the race game starts. That's it, you're playing!
To switch games later, just double-click a different “Play” file.
🎮 Controls (keyboard)
Click a window first, then it listens to these keys:

Only the window you clicked listens to the keyboard. Want real 4-player?
Plug in up to 4 USB game controllers.
đź’ľ Saving your horse
Your horse is saved to a “card” file on your PC automatically, so it's there next time.
Press Enter to make a new horse, or I to load one you made before.

| Nothing opens | Do Step 2 (turn off Smart App Control), then try again. |
| Empty window | Make sure you unzipped the whole folder (Step 1). |
| Windows overlap | Just drag them apart by their title bars. |
| “Checking Network” | You missed a window. Click the game picture in any window still showing it. |
